        Verdict

        Detective is effective over a variety of distances and seeks a fifth course win here. He is fancied to reverse recent running with Strongbowe on slightly better terms but Liberation Point is less exposed and has taken a step forward this year. Josie Gordon’s mount just lost out off this mark in a driving finish last time at Sandown and will be fancied to go one better. DANDY MAESTRO has shot up the weights recently but sweated up before the start last time at Newbury so that run can be ignored. He has a useful turn of foot and Georgia Dobie can claim a valuable 3lb.
