In depth
Verdict
Not a strong race by any stretch of the imagination and this appears a good opportunity for Big Bradford to lose his maiden tag at the main expense of Always Flying while Fission is an interesting newcomer. The selection has shown more than enough ability to win a race of this nature having finished runner-up on both starts to date, putting up a particularly good effort when caught close home at Nottingham last time having set a strong pace throughout so the drop back to the minimum trip shouldn't pose any problems for this pacey performer. Always Flying blotted his copybook when unseating his rider last time but had previously shown a useful level of form when third behind a well-regarded type over course and distance last month. Mark Johnston's charge should be sharper for the experience while Sir Mark Prescott introduces Fission, who makes plenty of appeal on breeding being an Efisio half-sister to a winning juvenile, and the market will provide further clues.
