In depth

Verdict

Sir Guy Porteous is upped a grade after scoring at Musselburgh and will need further improvement. Heavy ground was a legitimate excuse for Mariners Moon last time but he remains 12lb higher than when winning easily at Beverley last month. Arrowzone was hampered at Haydock when attempting to land a hat-trick and should finish closer this time, but ARABIAN COMET makes most appeal. She looked a progressive filly when scoring by four lengths at Wolverhampton on her reappearance and can confirm that impression by shrugging off an 8lb rise and taking this.
