Verdict

Chef D'oeuvre was tailed off when Harry The Viking won this last year. Sandy Thomson’s veteran is only 2lb higher but his form deteriorated after. Dauphine Ereine is an interesting runner and she is capable of running well fresh and hasn’t many miles on the clock. Richard Johnson got Looksnowtlikebrian home in a similar race over a slightly shorter trip here last month but Cooking Fat wasn’t far behind. Recent Hexham third Bako De La Saulaie was second over these fences back in February but Ballycross may do better when the ground turns. YANMARE can make mistakes but Jamie Bargary has won on him four times. He stays well and would have made a winning reappearance at Exeter last season but for falling – he is only 2lb higher here.
