It's a very long time since BAVARIAN NORDIC was in the winner's enclosure but he's been running well enough this year to suggest that long wait for another victory could end here with Amy Ryan doing the steering. Shaker Style's absence since May is a bit of a worry but Talk Of Saafend can't be ignored as she's won three times this year on the Flat and over jumps and goes well for an amateur. She stayed on late into third at Musselburgh last time. Politbureau and Idealism are others to consider, along with last month's Ripon runner-up Haka Dancer.
