    Verdict

This is the best race on the card and all six have a chance of sorts. Whinmoor chases a four-timer and Faye McManoman’s claim helps with a further 8lb rise. John Kirkup still looks a few pounds too high but Wirral Girl only found one too good back over this trip at Doncaster and Airglow got off the mark at York last month. SKYVA has probably shown his best form so far on Tapeta but has been lightly raced on Turf and will be all the better for a comeback second at Newcastle when making the favourite pull out all the stops. Revenge may need to find a bit more in this grade to end a frustrating run.
