In depth
Verdict
Arlo hasn’t raced since second in an Ayr bumper last March but his trainer’s runners here are always to be respected. Race conditions mean that the four-year-old filly BONNE VITESSE can effectively run without a penalty after making a winning debut at Wetherby. The second that day has already franked the form and Emma Smith-Chaston takes off 7lb again. Git Maker had won between the flags prior to making a winning start under Rules at Chepstow. He does carry 7lb extra but is clearly useful with another former pointer Masked Crusader and Ayr second Netywell also respected.
