In depth
Verdict
This is a terrific novice chase and we will give the vote to Parknasilla, with The Last Cast and Stormy Lord put forward as the main rivals. Mick Easterby's five-year-old stepped up on his chase debut at Newcastle to beat Sharp single in convincing style at Wetherby. It wasn't the strongest of races but he was confidently held up for late run and obviously there should be plenty more in the locker. The Last Cast looks a major threat as he was also impressive when winning at Uttoxeter in November. He subsequently chased home Contraband in a Grade Two event at Sandown and looks to have a touch of class. Stormy Lord and Hidden Bounty both have winning form in modest company and should be fighting out third spot, however the first prize is expected to go to Parknasilla who should take full advantage of the seven pounds her receives from his main rival.
