    Verdict

MELTING DEW made a winning start in handicaps when scoring over 1m2f at Chelmsford on his reappearance. Sir Michael Stoute’s charge can defy a 6lb rise in the weights if proving as effective on today’s surface. Addicted To You and Voski won maiden races at Lingfield in March but neither threatened the winner when placed on their respective latest starts. Shymken was well beaten in Listed company at Goodwood a fortnight ago but should find this easier and Something Brewing won in France last year but debuts for Iain Jardine’s yard in this.
