    Verdict

Carnival Zain is much worse off at the weights than when beating Under Fox less than a length at Thirsk in the spring but he’s come on in leaps and bounds since, though recent victories have come in amateur riders’ races. End Zone has disappointed since winning over course and distance five weeks ago so this looks a good opportunity for DETECTIVE to record course victory number five. Dianne Sayer’s gelding has been only narrowly beaten the last twice and is sure to run his race again. Trumble lacks a recent run but could figure if fully wound-up.
