Verdict

Pookie Pekan is scheduled to make a quick reappearance after unseating his rider when in touch with the leaders at Kelso on Saturday. Le Frank won over course and distance last month but fourth Never Up ran better than the final result suggests and is 9lb better off so should get a lot closer. HENRY’S JOY appeared unsettled by an early bump on his reappearance at Stratford and was eased and pulled up in the closing stages. Consistent last season, that run can be overlooked and he has decent claims in a race like this.
