Alfie's Angel has been raised 7lb after winning a lower grade contest at Thirsk while Shortbackandsides opened his account in a tougher sprint at Ripon last time and is preferred to stablemate Sir Derrick. Muatadel is back on a winning mark and was beaten only a neck over 7f at Doncaster last month but another chance goes to THE RIGHT CHOICE (NAP). Richard Fahey’s charge never figured in a higher grade last time but won in soft ground at Pontefract before that and can effectively race off a lower mark today with an apprentice’s allowance taken into account.
