        Verdict

        The three-year-old IN MY PLACE had been looking a likely winner for some time before losing his maiden tag at Redcar. He's just 3lb higher and this looks no tougher. Gold Beau has won over the course and distance and loves fast ground. He's only 1lb higher than his last winning mark and looked on the way back at Hamilton last time. Percy's Gal and Viva Verglas fought out a finish on soft ground here a year ago with the former just prevailing and there's very little between them again on the revised terms. The veteran Jebel Tara was in tremendous form last summer and has now dropped to a lenient mark so he's probably not done with yet.
