In depth

Verdict

The draw will likely play a part in a field this size and Dream Together, who just held off Macho Pride at Haydock, starts next to the outside. Merry Secret, who beat After John at Thirsk, is berthed alongside with Ghathanfar, who got the better of King Of Tonga at Wetherby, widest of all. Redzone is on a four-timer but, like Patsy Fagan, may be better on the all-weather. In a wide-open contest, BLACKHEATH might be worth a small interest. He was rated 87 at the start of last season and now races off 71, even though he was running better than form figures would suggest in the autumn. Devil's Angel is also slipping towards a fair mark.
