In depth

Verdict

POSH BIRD was second in the Eider Chase last season off a higher mark and showed definite signs of a revival in a veterans' chase at Newbury earlier in the month. Neither the ground nor the trip here will be a problems and Peter Niven's mare can get back on the winning trail. See U Bob has been knocking on the door recently and remains on a decent mark while Dusky Bob wasn't beaten far when third at Sedgefield last time. Vamizi, Markadam and Tipsy Dara all disappointed on their latest starts, however, and Prophete De Guye may struggle under his big weight.
