        Verdict

        Blue Mantle had shown little before landing a Musselburgh handicap (Prince Dimitri beaten a length and now 6lb better) and followed up in a minor event at Hamilton next time. There may be further improvement to come from the lightly raced filly while Versailles will appreciate the step up in trip having struggled in maidens over shorter and is potentially well treated for his handicap bow.
