In depth

Verdict

AIKMAN made a successful return to action over hurdles at Kelso, winning by 17 lengths. The soft ground won't be a problem on his chasing bow and he should prove hard to beat if treating the fences with the proper respect. James Ewart's seven-year-old had a slightly higher rating over timber than Frascati Park, who could be a little frustrating over the smaller obstacles but did manage wins at Ascot and Leicester on soft going and should make a chaser. Bold Sir Brian, Our Mick and Willie Hall are also worth a second glance and Going Wrong could be interesting once he's had a few runs to blow away the cobwebs.
