In depth

Verdict

Molon Labe made a bright start over timber when just touched off in a heavy ground Hexham maiden but has gone backwards. Wetherby bumper winner Arrow Barrow ran well over 2m7f on his hurdling bow at Kelso but jumped poorly and was soon struggling over 2m1f at Sedgefield. Irish raider Jammia looked a nice prospect when runner-up to Popcorn in a Clonmel bumper in December and, though not doing quite so well at Down Royal subsequently, is the type to make a hurdler. River Dragon had been very consistent before a poor effort when stepped up to 2m6f at Wetherby while winning point-to-pointer Gris Lord should do better over timber after a couple of runs in bumpers. Storming Gale won a point in Ireland last March before joining new connections and impressing with a maiden hurdle success at Ffos Las. He's an obvious threat to all but has to concede 7lb to SENOR ALCO, who made a promising start over timber at Kelso in November and can take advantage of the weight concession.
