        Verdict

        Southwell winner Electioneer went close to following-up off today's mark at Newcastle last month. A first-time visor may bring some improvement and has to come into the reckoning. However, PELMANISM looks the one to beat in this contest. Three times a winner on the all-weather this year, he's just as effective on turf and has finished runner-up at Hamilton on his last two starts. Dropping down a grade here, Kevin Ryan's sprinter can return to winning ways. Hellbender can figure but has a bit to find with the selection on latest running so Secret City could prove best of the rest.
