Verdict
The three that catch the eye here are Treasure Cay, True Magic and Alchera, with the last named given the vote. Fulke Johnson-Houghton's colt won off a mark of 76 at Epsom last September and has now dropped ten pounds. The signs of a revival in form are now visible following a recent fourth behind Ivory Lace at Chepstow and this son of Mind Games looks to hold very strong claims. True Magic ran a blinder to finish runner up to Enchantment in a class C handicap at Redcar last time so must have a chance in this lower grade. Top-weight Treasure Cay is sometimes a reluctant starter and he was in last place for much of the way at Sandown last time but picked up in style in the final furlong and was closing fast at the finish, another bold showing is expected. Of the others Obe Bold came back to form last time and could be fighting for a place, but Alchera looks on the way back and is taken to oblige.
