In depth

Verdict

Zabeel Star has never been this far but wasn't stopping when tackling 2m1f here last week, though an 11lb rise makes this much tougher. MALANGEN is only three but produced his best run to date against older horses at Stratford last time and, with more progress likely, can land this for David Pipe and Tom Scudamore. Manwell went well over fences at the backend of last year and that's where his future lies but Spin The Coin is on a retrieval mission after falling at the last when clear over this track and trip in March. Samtu belied his long odds when runner-up at Kelso and wouldn't need much more to get into contention.
