Not a red hot maiden by any stretch of the imagination and it looks like being fought out by Nawaaff and Feisty Royale and slight preference is for Nawaaff. Mick Channon's colt has the benefit of two runs under his belt so far and handled cut well enough when runner up at York on debut. He tried to blaze a trail at Goodwood last time but could not see out his effort when a beaten favourite but similar tactics on this softer ground should ensure that nothing will be capable of coming from behind. Feisty Royale looks a likeable filly and she ran well in defeat ay Haydock on her fast ground debut. Her pedigree suggests that rain won't help her chances here so we will oppose, though we anticipate another frame berth for her. Baby Jack needs to show more than on debut to become a serious threat and it might be left to the newcomers to fill the frame. Keep an eye on the market for any confidence behind Chivola and Kalhan Sands who both represent shrewd yards, but we give the vote here to Nawaaff.
