Verdict

Having already won three times this year, THEGLASGOWWARRIOR finished second to last year’s winner Dance King at Musselburgh on his latest start. Suited by quick going, Jim Goldie’s charge could be the pick of the weights today but Compton Mill looks a danger as he should be approaching peak fitness after a couple of runs and has travelled up from Lambourn. Chester second Tor has won off a higher mark but today’s going might not suit. Ad Libitum won over course and distance under similar conditions nine days ago, however, though has to carry a penalty. Aasheq chases a hat-trick but this longer trip might catch him out and Daawy didn’t appear to stay 1m4f at York last month. Course winner Zihaam was entered at Beverley yesterday but Roar is worth a market check after a pipe-opener at Windsor.
