Verdict
A return to this trip will see Mister Pete in a better light and he gets the vote ahead of Danzatrice, Thewhirlingdervish and Let It Be. A winner at the track two starts back, the selection comes here on the back of an average run over and inadequate trip at Redcar. This longer distance and the uphill finish suits down to the ground and Sophie Doyle's claim makes him look to be fairly treated for a 5lb rise for his previous win. Thewhirlingdervish has claims but he hasn't won for a year and his latest run at Beverley wasn't the best; he needs to improve and watching the market may be a good idea. Danzatrice frustrates as she normally travels very well before finding little for pressure. She has a chance, especially if they go a fair pace but her overall profile hints at a place again. Kristiansand comes here on the back of a hurdles win so needs respect, whilst Let It Be won nicely at Redcar recently but this race looks tougher. Again, not the easiest of puzzles to solve, however it is Mister Pete who gets the vote.
