Verdict
Phillip Kirby is proving a trainer to follow and his versatile seven-year-old Embsay Crag won by 10 lengths over a longer trip at Pontefract 10 days ago. He should go close again if in the same mood, despite the penalty, but a few of these have similar claims. Silver Samba is on a hat-trick after victories at Chepstow and Haydock and Oisin Murphy again takes off 7lb while the three-year-old Linguine proved he stayed this trip at Catterick. AMPLEFORTH is back in the usual blinkers here having worn a visor when winning easily at Yarmouth but, hopefully, that shouldn't impede his progress and he can defy a 5lb higher mark though Mojolika and Ethics Girl aren't out of this either on their best form.
