Verdict
Bob's Lady Tara is the overall form choice but the Swinbank mare rather disappointed last time when a beaten favourite here earlier in the month. She is probably better assessed on a pair of previous runner-up efforts but the Swinbank team has been far less active in the bumper sphere this term after compiling a splendid record in such contests in previous seasons. Therefore, preference is for HELLESBELLES, a more than promising fourth on debut at Ayr in January behind Swaton Typhoon. The mare represents the Crawford team whose Irish raids must always be taken very seriously and who boast a fine 40% strike rate in such contests this season in the UK with six winners from 15 runners. Fairweather Friend was nicely punted on her Warwick debut when shaping with considerable promise. Improvement seems assured and she could emerge as a major player.
