        Verdict

        A couple of novice winners go handicapping for the first time. Dream Poet scored at Beverley recently but it was soft going when STRONSAY won over today’s trip at Thirsk and Bryan Smart’s colt makes more appeal on that form. Flint Hill could only manage fourth when sent off favourite at Musselburgh last time and may improve now handicapping along with Illusions while Mister Dependable was placed at Nottingham on his handicap debut and there should be more to come from him.
