Verdict

COOL OPERATOR is chanced despite top-weight. Howard Johnson has his horses in good form and this gelding should be effective off this attractive mark of 115; he could probably do with the ground drying up a bit however. That's a comment that applies to No Supper, the classy flat horse Simonside and the mare Zahara Joy. Kings Guard is far from discounted with the ground in his favour and along with Golden Future, with Timmy Murphy an interesting jockey booking, and the Irish challenger Kilbrannish Hill, a Perth winner last time, he helps make this a competitive heat.
