Verdict

George Charlton has a strike rate of 29% with his runners here over the past five years and SHERIFF HALL can boost that figure. Apart from an untypical first fence departure at Perth, the gelding has taken well to fences and looks ready to land a contest such as this on the back of an excellent effort at Kelso over today's trip. The first two pulled right away that day and he makes plenty of appeal off an unchanged mark. Overlaw seemed to have got his act together when scoring on his penultimate outing but disappointed last time and the jury is out once again. Therefore Colditz could emerge as the main danger off his light weight. He hasn't been seen since scoring here last August and Graham Lee is a good booking.
