In depth

Verdict

Don Franco and Clues And Arrows were second and last respectively here on Friday. Stuart Crawford’s thorough stayer certainly warrants respect in this but DURSEY SOUND won off a 9lb higher mark last year and looked to be on the way back when staying on well behind Schindler’s Prince at Uttoxeter. Though the winner let the form down next time, Ben Haslam’s charge will be fancied to go one better here. Presenting Junior is another slipping down the weights but this trip is likely to stretch his stamina. Welsh Bard is sure to improve on a comeback third at Bangor but Charlie Wingnut couldn’t cope with a 10lb rise at Uttoxeter after winning at Kelso. Leanna Ban, has claims, however, especially if there is any more rain.
