Verdict
Soul Magic got off the mark over fences over C&D last month and is relatively lightly raced for his age. Only 4lb higher, it would be no surprise if he was in the firing-line again today. Orpen Wide likes it here and can go well fresh but My Condor has been well below his best recently and Lindseyfield Lodge needs further and has had little respite from the handicapper lately. Canal Cottage is also struggling to score off his current mark and more interesting is COLDITZ. Richard Ford's seven-year-old may well have beaten Soul Magic on his last start over fences here had he not been hampered off the final turn. Now better off at the weights, he's turned out again quickly after a spin over hurdles at Southwell on Sunday and can recapture the winning thread.
