Peak Seasons had been in decent heart this term until well beaten here on Saturday and now takes a significant drop in trip. He's respected along with Soul Magic, who, on the face of things, looks in the grip of the handicapper, but has gained all five career successes at this venue. His relish for this idiosyncratic track should not be underestimated. In The Haven scored here last time under a superb Samantha Drake ride and is likely to prove a useful handicap chaser acquisition for Joanne Foster. He may well be good enough but ALBA KING enjoys a good career record and gained a first success over fences at Southwell recently when smoothly accounting for Mad Professor. He looks on the upgrade over fences and is taken to score on his first visit to the Lake District.
