      Verdict

      This may develop into a real war of attrition and that shouldn't bother Kilvergan Boy, who was in front in this race last year when unseating his rider. He went on to make amends over a shorter trip at the track four days later and will be all the better for a recent comeback run but we just prefer LACARMIC. Very lightly-raced, he gives the impression he's been waiting for a real test of stamina and crack Irish amateur Derek O'Connor has travelled over to ride. The others appear to have a bit to find.
