In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott hasn't so far managed to get a win out of all-weather specialist THE ABSENT MARE and she's been chasing. But the fact that Richard Johnson is riding at his bare minimum here suggests she's fancied to go close receiving weight all round. Green And White certainly has the form to figure in a contest like this and Seventeen Black has been running well since scoring at Perth last month. The improved Keep To The Beat and Jebulani are others with decent claims but Mad For Road may still be too high in the weights and Perennial's efforts over hurdles so far have left a bit to be desired.
