Verdict

A true test of stamina awaits these old timers and surely it's STAGECOACH DIAMOND's turn to finally score after a run of near misses and we'll give him another chance in front of Snowy with Capybara looking a value each-way play. Sue Smith must be tearing her hair out in regards to the selection's recent form as the 10-year-old has found just one too good in each of his last three starts. The handicapper hasn't helped matters by giving him two pounds extra to carry but he has proven stamina beyond this trip and he may benefit for the extra yardage. Snowy capped a good run of form with a victory off a nice mark three starts ago and has held that well under increased burdens in his last two starts. The concern with this one is the trip as he has stamina to prove but if he stays he should be close. Capybara has nothing to prove in terms of staying power and is in good form. He is above his last winning mark but he ran well enough off a pound higher two starts back in a staying test so at the projected odds looks value for a place.
