My Renaissance was on his best behaviour when third here earlier in the month but still has ground to make up on SWORD OF FATE, who has since won over hurdles at Perth and will handle today’s conditions better than most. Schmidt was just caught at Perth eight days ago but has been raised 5lb for his troubles and Uttoxeter third Cawthorne is 9lb higher than when scoring at Sedgefield last month. Beautiful Ben will have needed the run at Southwell but needs good ground and this trip looks too short for Dento Des Obeaux.
