In depth

Verdict

Dawson City is a thorough stayer who has won off higher marks in the past. Rock On Fruity won three times last season but there is a suspicion that this trip stretches his stamina and he was behind RED GIANT when that one scored over 3m5f at Sedgefield in October. Jennie Candlish’s charge stopped quickly at Market Rasen last time and was pulled up but will have needed that run. Fact Of The Matter has become a cross-country specialist but William Of Orange has found a new lease of life since switching to Mark Walford and is worth a try over this longer distance. Aaron Lad has plenty to prove at present, however.
