GOLDAN JESS had Lava Lamp and Bell Weir behind when only finding one too good in this 12 months ago having won the race (when run over a shorter trip) in 2013. He arrives off the back of an excellent run over 2m on Polytrack and must be thereabouts again. Captain Brown won over a much shorter trip here on Saturday and carries a penalty while Panis Angelicus had little to beat at Stratford and has more on his plate here. Decimus won over a similar trip at Newton Abbot on his reappearance and Handmaid is a likeable sort. Street Entertainer has been placed twice on the Flat and over fences since last appearing over timber but may find this too far.
