      Verdict

NIGHTBOAT TO CAIRO has an obvious chance in this company and is preferred to Samizdat and Skipping Chapel. The selection is still a maiden after ten attempts but she's shown improved form since being fitted with cheekpieces having made the frame the last twice and she's capable of getting off the mark in this company. Samizdat also comes here on the back of a good performance having gone close in a Sedgefield handicap and he has to be feared as he drops in grade but he's still awaiting his first success after twenty starts under National Hunt Rules. Skipping Chapel has proved to be more adept at hurdling than chasing thus far and appreciated the return to the smaller obstacles when finishing in midfield at Newcastle. He may not have to improve significantly on that run in order to have a say in the outcome of this heat. The likes of Mardood, Mt Desert and Manoubi are worth monitoring for support but Nightboat To Cairo has a solid chance.
