      Verdict

Donald McCain has an excellent record with the females that he trains and he can enjoy further success here with ALEGRALIL, while Canadian Blaze and Last Of The Bunch look the main dangers. The selection will be short odds to maintain her 100 per cent record, having scored in two bumpers, followed by a resounding 13 length success first time over hurdles at Bangor. She acts with cut in the ground and appears to have every chance of giving weight away to all but one of her opponents and winning this. The other runner carrying a penalty is Canadian Blaze. James Lambe's six-year-old has been put up 15lbs by the assessor for making the frame at Kelso last time. She stays at least this far and acts with cut, and her pilot may well try to make the most of her stamina and run the sting out of them. Last Of The Bunch ran with some credit behind another McCain inmate, Just For Jean, when unsuccessful in attempting to defy a penalty in a Haydock bumper last month. She doesn't mind getting her toe in and will be more interesting if backed, but preference is for Alegralil.
