Verdict
It has taken quite some time for the proverbial penny to drop with PRIMO. Unplaced on his first seven starts, the Acclamation gelding delivered a vastly improved performance to score a stylish success over this trip at Beverley last month. The handicapper has understandably taken a dim view and upped him 8lb but there should be much more to come if he repeats that level here. Golden Prosperity was second on that occasion and is respected on 3lb better terms, whilst Rockprincess and Golden Gal have solid form credentials. Fylingdale has the plum draw in stall one and is likely prove far better in time that she's shown so far.
