Verdict

ORIENTAL RELATION was far from disgraced in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot behind No Nay Never after posting a solid third behind Andhesontherun at Leicester on debut. He seems sure to appreciate the step up to 6f and this represents a dramatic drop in grade. However, when James Given chose this contest for his Tagula colt he probably wasn't expecting to line up against a colt highly touted on his Doncaster debut. Regiment was rumoured to be one of Richard Fahey's leading juveniles before finishing fifth behind Fair Ranger and it will be fascinating to see how the market forms around these two. Street Boss, beaten nine lengths at Redcar last time behind Al Baz, completes the short-list.
