TIDE SLIDER gets the vote to finally end a frustrating run of second places with Coconut Beach and Empty Sky fancied to push him all the way. The selection has finished as runner up on each of his last four starts and has a result has slowly crept up the weights. This time though he runs off the same mark as his latest near miss and as a result is really well treated in this contest. The ground is also in the gelding¿s favour who should finally cure his case of seconditus. Coconut Beach as a quick turnaround after running well at Leicester on Sunday. It will be a tough ask to carry top weight to the winner's enclosure after such a short turnaround and he is now 10lbs heavier than his last victory. All that said he is on form and could find himself a share of the prize money. Empty Sky is an unexposed type who is open to plenty of improvement. He's been running with some credit with little success in races of this standard recently and with further improvement could be close but Tide Slider gets the call.
