In depth

Verdict

DISCOVERIE was heavily punted when a well-beaten short-priced favourite over hurdles at Ayr, the explanation for which may be the very heavy ground which pertained that day. He now has his attentions turned to fences and is worth another chance off a mark 6lb lower than his hurdles rating as previous form suggested his turn was near. Bollin Line and Agentleman have chase form which brings them into calculations but Oscar O'scar looks the main threat if taking to fences, especially with promising Finian O' Toole taking a valuable 7lb off his opening handicap chase mark. He's a consistent performer who can usually be relied upon to run his race and arrives in decent form.
