In depth
Verdict
But for disappointing at Carlisle last time Takanewa would have gone close to getting the vote here but a combination of that poor effort, the general form of Howard Johnson's horses and a drop back in trip that may not suit makes her easy to oppose and preference is for Bijli, who gets the vote ahead of Laphonic. The selection has improved with each start and a reproduction of his last time out effort at Lingfield may well suffice for Jeremy Noseda's gelding. Strong Approach has claims on the pick of his form but David Barron's gelding is becoming expensive to follow and may be best watched, while Just Lille needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge. Laphonic may do better back over six furlongs today but Bijli has an obvious chance and he gets the vote.
