        Verdict

        Weapon Of Choice was returning from a lengthy absence when fourth at Cartmel in August and has been off again since. STEEL CITY was pulled up over fences last time but had finished third over course and distance before that and won here last season when only 2lb lower. Mick Easterby’s 11-year-old is probably the one to beat as it’s not encouraging that Darsi's Jewel makes his handicap debut in a seller after just the three runs. Hartside pops up in this grade now and again but he’s not getting any younger and usually takes an age to warm to his task.
