Verdict
Makshoof is the pick to land this for the Kevin Ryan yard after a satisfactory effort on his first outing on the turf at Ripon in April. The selection has shown before that he goes well after a break and while he does not appear as effective over the minimum trip as 6 furlongs, the stiff nature of the sprint course at Catterick will work to his advantage. Prince Namid has been campaigned over a variety of trips in recent times. Outpaced over 6 furlongs on this course last time, that is a major worry but on the pick of his form he is a contender while Heywood showed some of his old sparkle last time however, he remains on a mark which leaves his vulnerable. Violent Velocity drops back to 5 furlongs after finishing in the runner-up position on his last two starts and is another worthy of consideration but Makshoof is the pick.
