Verdict

It's unusual for a selling plate winner to have an official rating of 80 but DUNNINGTON LAD landed a novices' contest at Windsor in April before winning a seller at Goodwood when The Full Bronte was beaten almost three lengths. He found 6f and softer ground against him over Leicester's stiff track on Saturday and will be much more at home here. He's rated 10lb higher than Dragon Glory and has to concede half that amount but the latter has more scope and became unbalanced when attempting to make all at Ripon having shown very good speed over 6f earlier. The remaining pair will need to improve to get involved.
