Verdict
JOHNNY HANCOCKS should appreciate this contest the most with five furlong juvenile winners in his pedigree with Chester Deelyte a potential danger and Ever Roses looking to improve upon a poor effort last time. The selection was only just over a length behind the victor on his last appearance when Bachelor Knight took the win at Redcar last week. If that run has brought the youngster on at all then he could be the one to win this affair. Chester Deelyte showed some progression although not enough to manage more than fourth last time at Warwick. She has claims if developing after that run in June. Ever Roses was a distance behind Dolly Parton at Thirsk on her latest start but is half-sister to a five furlong juvenile winner and may be able to find the pace to compete. Cruise Racer hardly has the most sparkling pedigree and may prefer an increase in trip over time and our preference in this opening race is to side with Johnny Hancocks to pick up the victory.
