In depth

Verdict

It is worth noting recent winners Walnut Grove, Sapphire Storm and Observatory Star while studying the form here in which we will side with the last named. Observatory Star is having his fist run since winning over course and distance last year off a mark five pounds lower. He has run well without winning first time out in the past, has conditions to suit and if fit he can put up a bold bid. Sapphire Storm is another coming from a lengthy spell on the sidelines having not been seen since following up from a Musselburgh win to land the odds around here back in September. He now runs off a mark of fifty seven and will have to be at his very best but is given respect. As is Walnut Grove who is fit from a recent win at Carlisle but now has a six pound penalty to lump around which will make things tougher for him here. So for the winner we return to top weight Observatory Star who is stil well treated and if fit can do himself justice.
